Today we went walking around Nuevo Sur, which is a cute outdoor mall in Monterrey, Mexico. I am honestly surprised how my transition from the U.S. to Mexico was not very difficult.
Before being in Monterrey I have only been to Los Cabos and that was at a young age, so I was not sure what to think when we had to move out here (other than I needed to jump on my espanol ASAP!). Monterrey is a beautiful town surrounded by mountains and is more americanized than I thought, but of course I seem to stick out like a soar thumb here. They call me “guera” (which is a nick name for a blonde girl). Monterrey has some american stores, restaurants and our local grocery store is based out of Texas so it makes it easy to shop!
